Tutors travel to students homes within the community, create a supportive and encouraging learning environment, and partner with families to help students build confidence, strengthen writing skills, and express ideas clearly and effectively.ResponsibilitiesProvide individualized, engaging writing instruction tailored to each students needsSupport students with:Sentence structure and paragraph developmentOrganization and clarity of ideasGrammar, mechanics, and revision strategiesAcademic and school-based writing assignmentsMiddle school, high school, and college application essaysTravel to students homes for scheduled tutoring sessionsCreate a positive, respectful, and motivating learning environmentArrive prepared, on time, and ready to teachCommunicate clearly and professionally with parents regarding student progress and areas of growthMaintain professionalism in students homes and in the communityFollow Cascade Enrichment policies and expectationsSchedulingPart-time, hourly positionTutors choose their own availabilityMost sessions occur after school and on weekendsMinimum QualificationsStrong background in writing, English, education, or a related field (college-level coursework or equivalent experience)Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferredExperience supporting school-based writing and/or college essays strongly preferredReliable transportation for in-home sessionsProfessional communication and time-management skillsAbility to pass a background checkBenefitsTop-of-market hourly payFlexible schedulingAccess to curriculum resources, training, and administrative supportOpportunities to earn multiple bonusesSupportive, experienced team environmentThis is an excellent position for educators, graduate students, or professionals seeking flexible, high-quality teaching work alongside other commitments.
